Building an IoT Garden Monitor

Creating an IoT garden monitor started as a weekend experiment and quickly became an essential tool for my indoor plants.

• Mapping every sensor reading to a clear action helped reduce noise and made the dashboard more useful.
• Choosing low-power components gave the device incredible battery life.
• Shipping updates over-the-air kept experiments fast and easy.

In the next iteration I want to expand the analytics, add predictive watering, and publish detailed build logs so others can follow along.
